Haliburton Leads Pacers with 33 Points

Boston Celtics take a Commanding Lead in Eastern Conference Finals

BOSTON -- The Boston Celtics took a commanding 2-0 lead in the Eastern Conference finals with a 126-110 win over the Indiana Pacers in Game 2 on Thursday night.

Tyrese Haliburton led the Pacers with 33 points, but it wasn't enough as the Celtics pulled away in the second half.

The game was close in the first half, with the Pacers holding a slim lead at halftime. But the Celtics came out firing in the third quarter and quickly built a double-digit lead.

The Pacers never recovered and the Celtics cruised to the victory.

The Celtics were led by Jayson Tatum, who had 32 points. Jaylen Brown added 29 points, while Marcus Smart chipped in with 24.

The Pacers will now have to win three straight games if they want to advance to the NBA Finals.

The series will resume on Saturday night in Boston.
